Catalyst part 2

So...there was more to Catalyst then I could write the last time.  Having a newborn in the house can cramp your bloggin'...lol

Throughout the conference, between the speakers and music, were numerous short-interviews with people who are doing amazing acts of service around the world for "the least" of us.  I wanted to highlight a few of them here.

http://www.charitywater.org/
100% of their donations go to provide people with clean water.  Operating costs are covered by private donors.

http://www.convoyofhope.org/
Feeding iniatives around the world, to include our neighbors in need just a few states over in Joplin, MO.

http://www.compassion.com/
Sponsoring kids to help them be released from poverty, that they may lead their own giving lives as Christian adults

http://www.globalsoap.org/
Recycle your soap from hotels and help people fight infection around the globe

http://www.toms.com/
Buy one pair of sunglasses or shoes for you, send shoes and prescription glasses to those in need.

http://www.krochetkids.org/
Providing jobs to women in need and great hats for you.

http://www.atlantamission.org/
A local shelter for the homeless in Atlanta.

http://amazima.org/
The beautiful story of Katie Davis, who went to Uganda for 6 months and ended up staying.  She now mothers 13 orphans and works with countless more!

I am telling you...there were scores of grown men crying when these presenters came up on stage.  It was inspiring and caused my family to commit towards sponsoring a little boy in Ecuador through Compassion.  It also confirmed our call to follow James 1:27 and adopt a child into our family in the near future.

If you have time, check out these organizations.  If you have money, give some up.  If you have faith, pray for them all.

Also, go see what the folks at Catalyst wrote for their own recap notes:
